Patrick Matera, guitarist with Katy Perry band set out to improve his guitar tone for the new tour and contacted 3RD Power after hearing good things about them from a friend.

I discussed my needs with Jamie Scott (designer/founder) and he told me he was about to release a new amp that was right up my alley," recalls Matera. "I was on a tight schedule and Jamie built me a prototype in two days time and shipped it out.

According to Matera, the 3RD Power guitar rig sounded better than all of the amps he auditioned for the new tour. "We had a number of good amps to try during rehearsals," states Matera. "The one amp that really stood out not only to me, but also to the band and the sound technicians, was the 3RD Power setup. It's got a great mid-range sound, tons of headroom and takes my pedals perfectly. It's exactly the sound I was looking for."
