3RD POWER ON TOUR WITH PERRY
... According to the tour's guitarist, Patrick Matera, the 3RD Power guitar rig sounded better than all of the amps he auditioned for the new tour. "We had a number of good amps to try during rehearsals," states Matera. "The one amp that really stood out not only to me, but also to the band and the sound technicians, was the 3RD Power setup. It's got a great mid-range sound, tons of headroom and takes my pedals perfectly."

...According to the tour's FOH sound engineer, Mark Brnich of 8TH Day Sound, Townshend was using a different amp during rehearsals. "We only did about 10 days rehearsal, and this is the first time I've worked with him as an engineer," states Brnich. "During the rehearsal, I was in a completely separate room, so I'm not even sure what he was using. But the 3RD Power rig definitely sounds better. It's got more balls to it, more bite. It's fatter sounding."

Tom Weber, guitar tech for Mr. Edward Van Halen recently auditioned the HLH100 system and says of the ’68 plexi inspired HD100 amp head, “This amplifier far surpassed my expectations. There was nothing that I asked it to do that was not met by no less than stellar performance.” Weber continues, the HD100 is “... truly what I feel the Plexi should have become by now. I certainly would love to own one of these myself!”
